I finally decided to go visit Arthog Waterfall.  It's not one of the biggest waterfalls in Wales as it stands just over 5 meters in height, but it's quite unique the water flows from the top splitting into two paths. It's one of the few waterfalls in Wales you can actually walk under as well. I've photographed the cascades in the past but never the waterfall. The last time I went the water was to strong for me to get to the correct position. Here are a few of the best photo's I've taken there today :)  All taken with a Nikon D90, Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 lens and Cokin ND8 filter :)

Shot at approximately 11mm (widest I can go with a Cokin P adapter)

Taken at 20mm and slightly closer to the main waterfall

Finally my Sigma 24mm F2.8 Super Wide II manual focus lens turned up after ordering it off ebay over 2 weeks ago. It's a bit tattered and torn from years of being used but it still works pretty well for a lens that cost me only £60. Here are a few of my favourite shots from this lens today as I decided to give it a test run.

Decided to try and capture some photo's within 400 yards of my home whilst still testing out the Nikon 135/2.8 Ai-s manual focus lens. I like this lens as it's small and light and does a very good job with bokeh. It won't replace my wonderful 85mm 1.8 lens but I think I'll be trying it out on my Nikon F100 film SLR soon. Here are some of my favorites from today :)

Finally bought an old Nikon 135mm F2.8 Ai-S lens from ebay. It's a fully manual lens. Unfortunately it won't meter on my Nikon D90 but there are ways around this by using a bit of guess-timation :) Here are the first three test shot's from this wonderful old prime lens. I think I'll be using this quite a lot for portraits in the future :)

Myself and Alwyn Jones decided to head off to the Llangollen Music and Dance Eisteddfod but when we got there the heavens opened and down come the rain. Seeing hardly anyone walking about we decided to take a few photo's of the local canal and go to Crucis Abbey which is about 4 miles from Llangollen. Here are a selection of photo's from our day trip to Llangollen, hope you enjoy :)

03 July - 2011 - Sunsets

The light on Friday and Saturday evenings were amazing but unfortunately I was unable to get to my local beach to try some sunset shots so I decided I'd try tonight. Unfortunately, the light wasn't as good as either Friday or Saturday but it wasn't bad either so I took a few shot's anyway. Here are a few of the best ones from the hour I spent down the beach.
