I managed to get the rest of my Mamiya negatives scanned in and uploaded to Flickr. I could really do with upgrading this scanner sooner rather than later. The Epson 4490 is a really decent scanner but I can only scan 2 Medium Format negatives. With the Epson V700/V750 you can scan up to 6, which makes life easier. I think it's time to order one next month to correspond with me attempting to develop my own negatives. I've watched the videos, now it's time to walk the walk, shoot some film and have a go :) All the following photographs were taken using a Mamiya 645 Pro with either a 45mm/2.8, 110mm/2.8 or 210mm/4 Mamiya Sekkor Lens and scanned in using an Epson 4490 flatbed scanner.
The world of photography through my eyes!
I've been a keen self taught photographer for the past 10 years. I first started photography in late 2001 with a simple point and shoot camera, slowly progressing to where I am today. If I take 100 photographs and get 'two keepers' I'll be happy and any more are always a bonus. I use a Nikon D90 DSLR and also use a Mamiya 645 Pro (Medium Format), Nikon F100 and F90 as film cameras.

I got some negatives back from Snap photo today which were a mixture of Fuji Provia 100F and Ilford Delta 100. It was the first time I'd shot using my Mamiya 645 Pro along with the AE finder. Out of the 3 rolls of film, I probably had 3 shots where it got the exposure wrong. Not bad at all as all the rest were spot on exposure wise. The location was at the woods in Ynysmaengwyn and at Dolgoch Falls. All negative were scanned using an Epson 4490. Hoping to get the Epson V750 or V700 in the next couple of weeks.

The weather over the last few weeks has been a bit dull, grey, wet and miserable so I haven't had a lot of time to do photography. I managed to get a morning at Dolgoch Falls, where I mainly went to finish off a roll of Provia 100F with my Mamiya 645 Pro. I also decided to shoot a few of the cascades with my D90. It was just nice to get out with the camera again :)

Got my first roll of Provia 100F developed which I used in my newly aquired Mamiya 645 Pro. All the following photo's were taken using the Sekkor 110mm/2.8 manual focus lens. I had to use my Nikon D90 for metering as I didn't own the AE Prism Finder when I took the photos. All negatives scanned using an Epson 4490.

Got some Kodak Ektar developed at a Fuji Lab from a day out at Shrewsbury. I used my Nikon F100 with Sigma 24mm/2.8 all day. I've only uploaded a couple so far to my Flickr account but hope to upload the rest over the next few days.

Decided to try out my Mamiya 645 with a shoot with Stevie at Ynysmaengwyn. I had to use my Nikon D90 for metering as I don't own an AE Prism finder as yet for the Mamiya. The following photographs were all taken using my Nikon D90 with Nikon 85mm 1.8 af-d lens. I can't wait for the roll of 120 Provia to come back. Hopefully I've got the exposure spot on and we'll see that amazing Medium Format images pop to life :)
