Decided to try out my Mamiya 645 with a shoot with Stevie at Ynysmaengwyn. I had to use my Nikon D90 for metering as I don't own an AE Prism finder as yet for the Mamiya. The following photographs were all taken using my Nikon D90 with Nikon 85mm 1.8 af-d lens. I can't wait for the roll of 120 Provia to come back. Hopefully I've got the exposure spot on and we'll see that amazing Medium Format images pop to life :)
I've been a keen self taught photographer for the past 10 years. I first started photography in late 2001 with a simple point and shoot camera, slowly progressing to where I am today. If I take 100 photographs and get 'two keepers' I'll be happy and any more are always a bonus. I use a Nikon D90 DSLR and also use a Mamiya 645 Pro (Medium Format), Nikon F100 and F90 as film cameras.

With the weather not being very good for landscape photography over the past couple of weeks, I decided to scan in some old 35mm and Medium Format negatives. I could really do with upgrading my scanner to possibly the Epson V600 or preferably the Epson V700. As I've just purchased a Mamiya 645 Pro system the scanner will have to wait and I'll keep using the Epson 4490 for the time being. Here are a few of the selected scans I've recently done.

The weather over the last couple of weeks has been pretty bad with rain and grey skies, so I haven't had chance to really get out and take many photographs. I did manage to get a quick trip up the top of Craig yr Aderyn (Bird Rock) and luckily by the time I got to the top, I got some sunshine. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day :)

I've fallen a little bit behind over the last week or so with my blog down to mainly work commitments and a visit from my sister. I'll do a large update now which should bring me up to date. Here are my favorite photo's I've taken over the past week when I didn't have much time to get out with my camera.
